Course Overview
Introduction
Construction is considered to be a high risk industry. CDM Regulations provide a single regulatory framework for the entire construction industry. Poor Health & Safety can result in fatalities, ill-health and loss of working days. This
course will provide information to help staff identify risks and avoid the dangers during construction work.
Course Overview
At the end of the course, trainees will:
- Identify what construction work is covered by CDM
- Identify the various duty holders under the CDM Regulations
- Recognise when F10 notifications are required
- Distinguish between the roles and responsibilities of duty holders under CDM
- Recognise measures that can promote safer construction work
- Explain what documentation is used and when, to promote safer construction.

- 1. An introduction to CDM
- Learn about the CDM regulations, their aims and what they cover.
- 2. Responsibilities of duty holders
- Discover who the duty holders are under CDM, their responsibilities and find out what work requires HSE notification
- 3. Key documentation
- Covers the construction phase plan and what must be included in the Health & Safety file

This course will benefit all workers involved in the different aspects of construction work by enabling staff to understand how the CDM regulations can affect and relate to their responsibilities.
How it works?
CDM Regulations is delivered online as an interactive course to each trainee on their computers, or portable device at any internet enabled location. The interactive course is engaging, informative and exciting to use.
Using up-to-date, modern graphical images, users will be faced with a selection of interactive elements and mini quizzes to test their knowledge.
Users will receive informative advice and guidance and will be tested on their understanding of the subject at the end of the course by completing the compulsory self-test.
This course also features a risk checklist which asks the user a series of questions relating to their current working environment.
